SMB & Mid-Market Solutions Engineer (Financial Software)

Location: USA - Remote; travel up to 40% of the time

Salary: $111,000–$139,000 USD annual; sales roles may include a commission target

What you will do

• Develop deep expertise in budget consolidation and related EPM and ERP solutions.
• Partner with sales teams to identify customer needs and tailor presentations.
• Deliver product demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design solutions aligned with prospects’ business processes and objectives.
• Support proposals and RFP responses with accurate technical content.
• Capture prospect feedback to inform product development and solution improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in sales engineering, presales, solutions consulting, or solutions engineering within the EPM, ERP, or financial software industry.
• Proficiency with EPM and/or ERP platforms and understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States and travel up to 40%.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a software platform in a customer-facing B2B environment.
• Experience with SAP and/or Oracle platforms.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
