Supply Chain Lead (Clean Tech)

What you will do

• Build and manage the supply chain function in China from 0 to 1 while aligning it with global operations.
• Lead localized New Product Introduction cycles from concept through mass production and own the end-to-end RFQ process.
• Develop the supplier and purchasing footprint, secure factory capacity, and optimize bills of materials with OEM and ODM partners.
• Enforce quality standards and track performance across multiple external factories through production-line audits.
• Work with the co-founders, finance, and R&D teams to coordinate regional execution.
• Act as the communication interface between Chinese technical and manufacturing ecosystems and UK-based teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM discipline from a top-tier university.
• Experience in procurement or strategic sourcing within clean tech or a technical hardware industry such as electric vehicles, advanced electronics, or semiconductors.
• Experience managing OEM and ODM relationships, including capacity negotiations and partner accountability.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components, including PCBAs, power electronics, or battery packs and systems.
• Ability to enforce stringent quality standards and deliver under compressed timelines using a first-principles approach.
• Written and verbal fluency in English and Mandarin is required. Proficiency with Excel, formulas, pivot tables, multi-tab workbooks, cost breakdowns, and supplier comparisons is also required.
