What you will do
- Supervise a team of Claims Supervisors and operational staff, managing hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance.
- Act as a primary liaison between the company and carrier partners to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Review coverage evaluations, reserves, and significant payments to ensure accuracy and adherence to best practices.
- Handle escalated complaint calls from clients and claimants, collaborating with teams for prompt resolution.
- Conduct quarterly internal audits, track adverse trends, and report Notices of High Potential (NHP) claims.
- Partner with the SVP of Claims to refine department procedures, workflows, and KPIs.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be licensed as a Qualified Claims Manager in the State of California.
- 10+ years of insurance claims experience with 5+ years in progressively responsible management roles.
- Experience with litigation exposure and a strong understanding of California claims regulations.
- Expertise in construction liability, construction defect, GL/PD, and GL/BI.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
