What you will do
- Lead and develop high-performing teams across Payroll Custom Reporting, Professional Services Fulfillment, and Technical Specialist functions.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying efficiency gaps and implementing scalable processes to improve client retention.
- Manage and de-escalate complex client situations, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and CX teams.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, timeliness, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
- Coach and mentor direct reports, including senior-level talent, through regular feedback and career planning.
- Drive AI adoption across teams by modeling effective AI usage and identifying workflow improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HR, HR consulting, professional services, or payroll operations.
- 2-4+ years of people leadership experience.
- Experience leading customer-facing operational or service delivery teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong operational mindset with a proven track record of managing KPIs and driving accountability.
- Ability to manage escalations and navigate complex customer scenarios with professionalism.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, CRM systems, and reporting tools.
Nice to have
- Experience within HR consulting, HRO, PEO, or HR technology environments.
- Experience supporting HR or payroll functions within a SaaS organization.
- Familiarity with Payroll or payroll reporting structures.
- Experience implementing operational improvement frameworks like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve team productivity or customer experience.
