TL;DR
People Operations Specialist (HR Operations): Managing payroll, benefits, and HR administration for Canada and the US with an accent on operational excellence and employee lifecycle management. Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (3x a week in office)
Salary: $70,000 – $73,000 per annum

What you will do
- Own payroll processing and validation for Canada and the US, including T4 preparation and W-2 issuance.
- Administer employee benefits programs, managing enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Provide first-level support on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and issue resolution.
- Drive core HR lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and leave administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the HR tech stack using tools like HiBob, Justworks, and Payworks.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations within a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with HR operations, payroll, and benefits in both Canada and the US (strict requirement).
- Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and compliance regulations across North America.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive employee information with absolute discretion and sound judgment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with HR tools such as HiBob, Justworks, Payworks, Manulife, Blue Cross, WorkWize, or Retriever.
- Professional certifications such as PCP/PLP (Canada), FPC/CPP (US), CHRP/CHRL (Canada), or SHRM-CP/SCP/PHR/SPHR (US).
