TL;DR

Director of Strategic Projects (SaaS): Partnering directly with the CEO to drive high-leverage strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and operational execution with an accent on board management, corporate development, and cross-functional leadership. Focus on translating complex business priorities into structured work streams and ensuring alignment across the organization.

Location: Must be based in the United States. Role requires regular travel (~15%) to the San Francisco Bay Area headquarters and other locations.

Salary: $183,400 – $280,100 (based on US location tiers).

What you will do

  • Own the operating rhythm for the Board of Directors, including meeting agendas, board decks, and investor communications.
  • Lead corporate development initiatives, including M&A sourcing, diligence, financial modeling, and deal execution.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to shape company strategy and drive critical cross-functional priorities.
  • Manage internal communications, including All Hands content and executive messaging to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Translate high-priority CEO initiatives into structured work streams with clear milestones and accountability.
  • Represent the CEO in internal and external discussions, exercising judgment on decision-making and escalation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience, including a foundation in top-tier management consulting (MBB) or investment banking.
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives or Boards of Directors in high-growth technology or SaaS environments.
  • Demonstrated success in corporate development, including M&A, partnerships, or strategic investments.
  • Strong financial modeling, diligence, and deal execution skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex situations into concise, actionable executive materials.
  • Must be based in the United States and able to travel (~15%) as required.
