Location: Must be based in the United States (remote or from a U.S. office location).
Salary: $170,000–$203,000 USD

What you will do
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities across federal, non-federal, and commercial energy markets.
- Lead the full business development cycle, including proposal strategy, funder engagement, and partnership development.
- Develop and refine the organizational value proposition in the energy space, emphasizing evidence-based policy and applied research.
- Lead and mentor a team of researchers, technical specialists, and project managers.
- Represent the organization externally at energy and climate forums to support portfolio growth.
- Provide technical expertise on energy program evaluation, implementation research, and learning agendas.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent in energy policy, economics, environmental engineering, or related fields.
- 11+ years of senior experience in the energy or climate domain across research, policy, or consulting.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship available).
- Proven success in leading winning bids and managing client relationships in federal and non-federal markets.
- Strong business development acumen and experience with rigorous evaluation methods.
- Ability to travel regularly for project work and partnership development.
