Avionics Simulator Technician (Flight Simulation)

Location: Onsite at Edwards AFB, California, USA. Only U.S. citizens are eligible, and the role requires a current in-scope or continuously evaluated Top Secret clearance.

What you will do

• Calibrate, install, maintain, repair, and test F-16 flight simulators and related support equipment.
• Perform readiness checks, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance documentation.
• Install simulator updates and modifications and assist with equipment checkout.
• Work across electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, optical, video-generation, digital-interface, and cable systems.
• Use engineering drawings, technical instructions, manufacturers' manuals, and other documentation to solve complex problems.
• Support field-site facility activities and perform additional duties assigned by the CLS Technical Representative.

Requirements

• Two to five years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in electronics, a two-year electronics technician program, or equivalent military technical training and electronics maintenance experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required by U.S. Government contract requirements.
• Current or continuously evaluated Top Secret clearance and eligibility for required DoD program access are required.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Ability to work in a shop-floor environment, climb into simulators or aircraft cockpits, and stoop, bend, or crawl around equipment.
