Electronic Test Technician - III (Avionics/RF)

Location: Poway, California, United States; onsite. First-shift hours are 5:00 AM–2:30 PM or second-shift hours are 3:00 PM–12:30 AM.

Salary: $27.00–$36.00 per hour, based on experience. The position is temp-to-hire.

What you will do

• Set up, perform, and analyze tests on electronic systems, components, and printed wiring assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies down to the component and board levels.
• Test analog, digital, integrated, AC/DC, and RF circuits, including amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and mixers.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Operate oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, voltmeters, function generators, signal generators, and power supplies.
• Document test results, repairs, troubleshooting findings, and failure analysis while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent plus at least 2 years of related experience, or at least 5 years of hands-on electronics test and troubleshooting experience.
• Hands-on component-level electronics troubleshooting and board-level repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ohm’s Law, AC/DC circuits, op-amp circuits, AC/DC conversion, analog electronics, and digital electronics.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, analog, digital, integrated, and RF circuits.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF, communications, aerospace, defense, avionics, electronics manufacturing, or military electronics.
• Experience with PWA, PCB testing, circuit card repair, electronic diagnostics, and failure analysis.
• Experience with LabVIEW and tools such as ICD 2, ICD 3, ICD 4, CPLD, and J-Link.
• Active security clearance or previous DoD environment experience.
