What you will do
- Supervise the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems.
- Oversee complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, inspections, wiring, and equipment repairs.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and safety requirements.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures while coordinating with other departments.
- Train, mentor, and guide avionics maintenance staff.
- Travel frequently to customer locations and perform work across office, field, industrial, and aircraft environments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant avionics experience.
- Expertise in avionics systems, regulatory compliance, technical schematics, wiring, soldering, crimping, and installation tooling.
- Own tools in good working order.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, work at heights and in confined spaces, and operate in noisy or hazardous environments.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.
Nice to have
- Associate’s degree in Avionics, Electronics, or a related field.
- Leadership experience in a maintenance environment and the ability to mentor subordinates.
- FCC General Radio Operator License, familiarity with FCC requirements, and experience with spectrometers, oscilloscopes, or pitot-static equipment.
- Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
