Avionics and Payload Assembly Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Denver, Colorado headquarters; must be within commuting distance of Denver, CO. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status is required. Variable day shifts of 8–12 hours, Monday through Friday, with required overtime typically accounting for 30–40% of annual hours.

What you will do

• Manufacture and refurbish payload and avionics systems for regular flight operations.
• Assemble and integrate electro-mechanical production and R&D systems.
• Perform semi-automated testing of completed assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and track manufacturing issues with support from Electrical Engineering.
• Read and follow work instructions, bills of materials, and quality documentation.

Requirements

• Experience with assembly, repair, and troubleshooting in an ESD-sensitive environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status and the ability to commute to Denver, CO.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform hands-on manufacturing and repetitive production work while sitting or standing for up to 12 hours per shift.
• Availability for variable day shifts, frequent schedule changes, and required overtime.

Nice to have

• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and FMEA processes.
• Technical writing experience.
• Through-hole and SMD soldering experience.
