What you will do
- Manufacture, assemble, integrate, and refurbish payload and avionics electro-mechanical systems.
- Build production and research-and-development hardware for regular stratospheric flight operations.
- Perform semi-automated testing of completed assemblies.
- Troubleshoot and track manufacturing issues in collaboration with electrical engineers and the hardware engineering team.
- Follow work instructions, bills of materials, and quality documentation while maintaining precise workmanship.
Requirements
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident status and a valid Colorado driver’s license.
- Must be located within commuting distance of Denver, Colorado and work onsite.
- Experience assembling, repairing, and troubleshooting hardware in an ESD-sensitive environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform seated or standing assembly work for up to 12 hours per shift.
- Availability for variable Monday–Friday day shifts, frequent schedule changes, and required overtime typically representing 30–40% of annual hours.
Nice to have
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and FMEA processes.
- Technical writing experience.
- Through-hole and SMD soldering experience.
