Focus on troubleshooting aircraft systems, developing maintenance procedures, training technicians, and supporting field operations at customer locations.
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite and field work with frequent travel to customer locations, sometimes on short notice.
Salary: $34.90–$47.99 per hour.

What you will do
- Supervise installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems.
- Oversee complex diagnostics and troubleshooting of avionics equipment.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Develop maintenance procedures and provide advanced training and mentoring to avionics staff.
- Coordinate with other departments and support work in office, industrial, construction, and field environments.
- Travel frequently to customer locations and perform inspections, repairs, and installations in demanding environments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Expertise in avionics systems, regulatory compliance, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.
- Advanced ability in avionics installation, wiring, wiring repair, soldering, crimping, and use of installation tooling.
- Own tools in good working order.
- U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, work at heights and in confined spaces, and operate in noisy or potentially hazardous environments.
Nice to have
- Associate’s degree in Avionics, Electronics, or a related field.
- Leadership experience in a maintenance environment and ability to mentor subordinates.
- FCC knowledge or a General Radio Operator License (GROL).
- Familiarity with spectrometers, oscilloscopes, and pitot-static equipment.
- Experience in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
