Quality Control Inspector - First Shift

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site, first shift

Salary: $30–$45 per hour, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Conduct dimensional inspections of high-precision machined components during receiving, in-process, and pre-assembly stages.
• Set up and use inspection equipment, including hand tools, CMMs, Romer Arms, 3D scanners, and tactile probing systems.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and document nonconformances.
• Analyze vendor dimensional inspection reports and review or approve material test and inspection reports.
• Review blueprints and documentation to verify materials and specifications, and support technicians with quality requirements and technical drawings.
• Support mechanical testing, welding inspections, ISO 9001:2015 shopfloor activities, and safe operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma and GD&T training.
• 5+ years of experience in advanced mechanical inspection.
• Proficiency with ASME Y14.5 and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Experience setting up, maintaining, and using precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gages, profilometers, comparators, and coating thickness gages.
• Experience with CMM, Romer Arm, 3D scanning, and tactile probing, including Creaform systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform extended periods of standing, sitting, typing, stooping, and climbing; willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, on-call shifts, or travel.

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or machining.
• Keyence VR 3D Profilometer experience.
• PolyWorks experience.
• ZEISS CMM with Calypso software experience.
