Location: Must be based in Charlotte, NC. Travel: ~25–35% domestic and international travel required.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end payment experience, including card-present and card-not-present flows, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Lead the product strategy for a new generation of Genius-built payment hardware, from requirements definition to field rollout.
• Manage the certification roadmap across global networks and payment integrations to ensure continuous compliance and uptime.
• Serve as the primary product-side relationship owner for global payment processors, gateways, and middleware partners.
• Define and execute the strategy for geographic expansion, including onboarding local acquirers and supporting regional payment methods.
• Prioritize the payments roadmap, balancing business needs, partner dependencies, and technical architecture requirements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 4 years specifically in payments.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Deep expertise in card-present payments, including EMV, PCI DSS, P2PE, and secure hardware architectures.
• Proven track record of managing multiple payment processor or gateway integrations simultaneously.
• Experience shipping features that directly impact business metrics like auth rates and processing margins.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience launching payment hardware products (terminals, PIN pads, or embedded devices).
• Background in restaurant, hospitality, or retail industries.
• Experience with international payments, multi-currency handling, and global regulatory frameworks.
• Experience leading platform unification or migration projects.
