What you will do

• Develop protective setpoints following industry standards, best practices, and client requirements.
• Utilize system modeling software such as ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, and SKM.
• Create downloadable setpoint files using SEL AcSELerator Quickset, GE Enervista, and other proprietary platforms.
• Design and manipulate logic for protection and control (P&C) schemes.
• Prepare complex engineering deliverables and perform equipment and materials research.
• Mentor entry-level professionals and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 1-4 years of experience in the Transmission industry.
• Experience in developing protective relay settings for lines, transformers, breakers, and buses.
• Knowledge of P&C design concepts including one-lines, three-lines, and schematics.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Mathcad and Excel for protective setting calculations.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as DNP, SEL, MMS, and Modbus.
• Expertise in IEC 61850 (GOOSE, MMS, SV) and its implementation.
• Familiarity with NERC-PRC and other industry standards.
