What you will do

• Support greenfield development by reviewing transmission system analysis and preparing interconnection requests.
• Participate in the interconnection study process, reviewing utility study reports and negotiating interconnection agreements.
• Assist in the implementation of portfolio projects, ensuring deliverables required by transmission owners are completed.
• Support due diligence efforts and flag potential issues for review.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power Systems or related field.
• 2-5 years of work history in renewable or traditional energy development, utility generation development, or transmission planning.
• Familiarity with reviewing power flow models.
• Knowledge of System Impact Studies (SIS) and other interconnection studies of transmission level renewable energy generating facilities with: CAISO, PG&E, SCE, SDG&E, SMUD.
• Understanding of electrical diagrams, preliminary site plans, and preparation of interconnection request packages for submittal.

Nice to have

• Previous employment or experience working at an Electric Utility, or consultants providing services within the listed footprints.
• Awareness of transmission systems and transmission expansion plans in US.
• Knowledge of Open Access Transmission Tariffs and Generator Interconnection Procedures.
• Understanding on reports published by Transmission Owners and Independent System operator.
• Understanding of Interconnection and Transmission Agreements and Contracts.
