TL;DR

Lead Risk Pricing Analyst (Fintech): Planning and delivering pricing projects for non-standard motor insurance with an accent on actuarial and statistical techniques. Location: Must be based in the UK (Hybrid, London office attendance required once a week).

Salary: £60,000–£72,000

What you will do

  • Manage, develop, and coach Pricing Analysts and Senior Pricing Analysts.
  • Develop, validate, and approve predictive and machine learning models.
  • Create and maintain accurate datasets for modelling, pricing, and performance monitoring.
  • Prepare pricing recommendations and present insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Oversee the deployment of rate releases into the live environment.
  • Deputise for the Senior Pricing Manager in strategic meetings.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the UK.
  • Degree-educated in a numerical or analytical discipline.
  • 4-5 years of experience in insurance pricing.
  • Proficiency in SAS and Databricks for complex data manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with Emblem and Radar.
  • Expertise in predictive modelling techniques including Logistic Regression, GLMs, and GBMs.

Nice to have

  • Experience in non-standard motor insurance (Car, Van, Bike).
  • Proven track record in building robust analytical solutions for complex business issues.
