TL;DR
Infield Service Technician (Robotics): Deploying, testing, demonstrating, and servicing NEXUS droneport systems at customer sites with an accent on field troubleshooting, UAV operations, and customer training. Focus on commissioning hardware and software infrastructure, diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and communications issues, and feeding field experience back into engineering and product improvements.
Location: On-site in Gilching, Bavaria, Germany; regular domestic and international travel to customer sites is required.

What you will do
- Commission and support the installation of NEXUS droneport systems at customer locations.
- Perform functional testing, drone flight demonstrations, and operational training for end users.
- Provide field troubleshooting for hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, and communications systems.
- Work with customers to collect feedback and improve system reliability and usability.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to escalate issues, test improvements, and recommend enhancements.
- Maintain detailed installation, issue-resolution, and best-practice documentation.
Requirements
- Technical background in mechatronics, electronics, robotics, aviation technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with hardware and software systems, ideally in UAV, automotive, industrial equipment, or automation environments.
- Basic troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and software components.
- Ability to work independently and professionally in customer-facing roles.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Professional English communication and willingness to travel regularly, including internationally.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with embedded systems, sensor technology, or communication protocols such as Ethernet, 4G/5G, GPS, UWB, or Silvus.
- Experience with drone flight operations, technical field deployments, or UAV-related service work.
