What you will do

• Provide practical support, mentoring, and advocacy to patients throughout their recovery journey.
• Educate patients and their families on mental illness and addiction recovery.
• Assist patients in setting and achieving personalized recovery goals.
• Facilitate problem-solving techniques and support participation in self-help groups.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement recovery plans.
• Help patients develop empowerment skills and navigate vocational or housing challenges.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in behavioral health.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong decision-making skills regarding confidential patient information.
• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations with hope, respect, and care.

Nice to have

• Peer Recovery or Peer Recovery Coach certification.
