TL;DR
Cyber Security Engineer (SaaS): Designing and delivering an information security programme to safeguard systems and data with an accent on technical controls, risk reduction, and incident response. Focus on building a security function from scratch, achieving ISO 27001/NIS2 compliance, and defining an AI governance framework.
Location: Must reside in the Netherlands and be legally authorized to work there. Hybrid setup with offices in Nijkerk or Amsterdam (maximum 2 days working from home).
Salary: €4,000 – €6,000 per month

What you will do
- Design, implement, and continuously improve technical security measures and the overall security strategy.
- Perform baseline security assessments across cloud, identity, applications, and endpoints.
- Establish a SIEM for improved threat detection and implement a vulnerability management programme with defined SLAs.
- Harden CI/CD pipelines by enforcing secrets scanning, SAST, and IaC scanning.
- Ensure readiness for ISO 27001 and evidence compliance with NIS2 and the EU AI Act obligations.
- Define an AI governance framework for model use, data handling, and product features.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security or security engineering.
- Degree in ICT, Cyber Security, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty.
- Proven track record of building or improving security functions in SaaS or regulated environments.
- Must reside in the Netherlands and be legally authorized to work there.
- Good command of both Dutch and English.
