What you will do

• Advise DevOps teams to embed security by design and "shift left" to ensure security is built-in early in the development lifecycle.
• Translate complex technical risks into clear business insights to drive secure implementations across internal systems and cloud services.
• Collaborate with the CISO office, Red Team, and Cyber Threat Intelligence units to maintain a 24/7 secure banking environment.
• Review high-risk third-party providers in coordination with procurement and business owners.
• Co-author security standards for the technology stack, covering low-code platforms, cryptography, and AI implications.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to balance innovation and AI adoption with the bank's risk appetite.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the Netherlands and able to work from Utrecht 2 days per week.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk and assurance within a large organization (>10,000 FTE) in a heavily regulated industry like finance.
• University bachelor's degree (HBO level) or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong ability to identify risk patterns and translate technical topics into business decisions.
• High proficiency in stakeholder management and professional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as ISACA CISSP and CISM.
• CISA (auditor) or other assurance-related certifications.
• Interest in obtaining specialized certificates like ISACA's AAIA.
