What you will do

• Define software design specifications and implement bug-free code using test-driven methodology.
• Refactor existing code for maintainability and reusability while resolving complex customer issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including security, UI, platform, analytics, and QA.
• Partner with Product Management to drive detailed product requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and development assistance to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Extensive experience developing large-scale cloud networking and security applications.
• Expertise in software design and programming in C/C++, Go, or Python.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols and services: DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS.
• Proven experience with AWS/Azure/GCP networking components (e.g., Transit Gateway, IGW, NATGW, Route53).
• Hands-on experience with cloud database services and PubSub mechanisms.
• Must be based in San Jose, CA for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Direct experience developing security Firewall features.
• Experience building solutions for SaaS platforms and leveraging cloud-native infrastructure.
• Knowledge of building for cloud scale and performance using auto-scaling groups.
