Data Engineer Wind Energy (m/f/d)

Location: Hamburg, Germany; hybrid setup with up to 8 days of mobile work per month

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming ETL pipelines on cloud platforms using Databricks, PySpark, or Scala.
• Develop features, maintain the data landscape, and optimize performance across large-scale operational data platforms.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across pipelines and datasets.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability for data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose data models.
• Document pipelines, data contracts, and lineage while contributing to data governance and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in data engineering, software development, or data platform environments.
• Experience with cloud-based data architectures and large-scale data processing.
• Strong programming skills in PySpark or Scala for data pipelines and analytics workflows.
• Structured and analytical working style with the ability to communicate technical topics clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Very good English skills required. German or Spanish is an advantage.
