What you will do

  • Manage and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Proactively chase overdue invoices through phone, email, and written communication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate prompt payments.
  • Resolve billing queries and disputes efficiently by collaborating with internal teams.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any financial discrepancies.
  • Perform credit checks and escalate problematic accounts for appropriate action.

Requirements

  • Proven background in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections.
  • Experience in cash allocation and customer account reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in running credit checks using tools like Creditsafe.
  • Experience handling difficult conversations professionally with SMEs and large corporates.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge, specifically VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
  • Location: Based in Cape Town
