What you will do
- Perform account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and Sage.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and support month-end and year-end closing for multiple client accounts.
- Prepare financial reports and cash flow summaries; monitor financial data for inconsistencies and trends.
- Assist with forecasting workbooks, financial projections, and scenario analysis for startup and growth-stage businesses.
- Support tax season administration and audit preparation, including documentation gathering and reconciliations.
- Track deadlines and deliverables across a portfolio of ~12–13 clients and coordinate priorities with the firm owner.
Requirements
- Strong accounting and bookkeeping background with excellent reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
- Experience with Sage accounting software or ability to learn it quickly.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data entry accuracy with attention to detail.
- Ability to support multiple clients/entities simultaneously.
- Accounting degree or equivalent accounting qualification.
