What you will do

• Design and develop complete mechanical solutions for worktools, including engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material selection to ensure reliability and durability of tools.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering changes (ECN), and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, safety, and supplier teams to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery.
• Conduct cost control and optimization of worktool solutions while maintaining functional and quality requirements.
• Perform on-site issue analysis and troubleshooting to drive root-cause improvements and closed-loop management.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, theories, and practices.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Creo, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
• Expertise in structural design, strength analysis, and mechanism design techniques.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and assembly.
• Ability to identify root causes and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-cycle production or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of NPI, DFMEA/PFMEA, and APQP methodologies.
• Awareness of lean manufacturing, ergonomics, and production safety design.
• Experience in supplier management and outsourced development coordination.
• Knowledge of value engineering and cost optimization principles.
