Location: Hybrid (San Mateo, CA), 2 days onsite per week. Full relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Salary: $271,300 — $406,900 USD

What you will do

• Lead a team of privacy legal experts providing advice on data protection laws including COPPA and CCPA across the Americas region.
• Partner with the Global Privacy Team to maintain and scale the SIE global privacy program.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Information Security, and Marketing teams to solve privacy issues for PlayStation Network features.
• Direct the company's response to evolving US data protection laws, breach notification frameworks, and other regulatory developments.
• Design and implement data privacy policies, standards, and processes to support business operations in the Americas.
• Balance consumer privacy protections with business needs for strategic data collection and usage.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in US domestic and global privacy compliance, including managerial or supervisory roles.
• Must be qualified for and acquire Registered In-House Counsel status in California (CA bar membership preferred).
• Proven experience implementing agile privacy compliance programs for consumer, customer, and employee data.
• Familiarity with data governance, AI technologies, and social privacy issues.
• Ability to communicate sophisticated legal and technical concepts to senior management and non-legal professionals.

• Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US or CIPP/E.
