What you will do
- Partner with product teams across the full lifecycle, from conception and MVP definition to commercial release and end-of-life.
- Provide pragmatic advice on open source, privacy by design, data inventory, and intellectual property protection.
- Structure and draft product-specific terms, SDK licenses, API specifications, and product policies.
- Collaborate with Finance on revenue recognition, COGS, and financial issues related to SaaS and hardware.
- Negotiate technology transactions, including OEM relationships, strategic alliances, and software-as-a-service agreements.
- Develop legal frameworks for planned and unplanned feature and product deprecation.
Requirements
- JD and membership in good standing of at least one state bar in the US.
- 12-15 or more years of legal experience in a major law firm or in-house supporting product legal and technology transactions.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Flexibility in working hours to support a global enterprise.
