TL;DR

AR Collections Specialist (Finance): Tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues and generating aging reports with an accent on debt recovery and account reconciliation. Focus on maintaining accurate aging reports, coordinating with clients for overdue payments, and managing the accounts receivable database.

Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, GA). Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Maintain accurate aging reports and monitor accounts to identify outstanding debt.
  • Investigate historical data and contact clients to recover overdue payments.
  • Process payments and refunds, and initiate collections on past-due accounts.
  • Update the accounts receivable database and manage account statuses to identify inconsistencies.
  • Perform cash application by posting payments to client accounts.
  • Collaborate with customers and team leaders to resolve outstanding billing issues.

Requirements

  • A/BS degree in Accounting or Business.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in collections or accounting.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without visa or residency sponsorship.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with various levels of management.
