What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) function, overseeing vendor invoices, payments, and expense activities.
• Manage and develop the AP team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Accounting, and FP&A to resolve issues and align financial processes.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to scale the function for a global organization.
• Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and support for audit requests.
• Manage cash flow and maintain strong vendor relationships through professional discrepancy resolution.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of progressive Accounts Payable or accounting experience.
• Prior leadership experience managing and developing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Must be based in Boston, MA or Houston, TX.
• Experience within a SaaS or technology environment preferred.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with ERP systems like NetSuite.
• Experience with AP automation tools such as Coupa, Tipalti, or Ariba.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex reconciliations and analysis.
• Experience managing international vendors and payment cycles.
