TL;DR

Senior Accountant (SaaS/Finance): Managing payroll accounting, accruals, and benefit allocations with an accent on accuracy in financial reporting and cross-functional partnership with HR and FP&A. Focus on identifying process automation opportunities using AI tools and maintaining audit-ready internal controls.

Location: Remote U.S. (Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship)

What you will do

  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for payroll and benefits.
  • Partner with HR and Payroll to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data.
  • Analyze payroll reports and benefit variances using data-driven and AI-assisted approaches.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to payroll and benefits.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation using AI tools to streamline workflows.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over payroll and benefit-related processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation accounting, ideally in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite and ADP preferred).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
  • Willingness to use AI tools to amplify efficiency and work impact.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing complex benefit reconciliations (401K and HSA) via platforms like Fidelity and Navia.
