Salary: $127,104–$153,401 annually; full pay range of $113,955–$178,237 annually.

What you will do
- Design NSSS systems and components, including piping, vessels, valves, CRDMs, and pressurizer heaters.
- Prepare, check, and review engineering specifications, drawings, calculations, reports, and other technical documentation.
- Define and evaluate system design, performance, inspection, and testing requirements against nuclear codes and regulations.
- Serve as a test program sponsor and technical lead for NSSS component and system design activities.
- Interface with licensing teams on domestic and international regulatory efforts.
- Mentor engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary resolution of complex technical problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering.
- At least 10 years of full-time relevant nuclear industry experience.
- Significant in-service inspection (ISI) expertise is required.
- Working knowledge of ASME Sections III and XI, 10 CFR 50, ISI, IST, and NDE requirements and techniques.
- Experience with NSSS component design, inspection, and testing; nuclear utility or plant operations; and multidisciplinary design issue resolution.
- Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
Nice to have
- Registered Professional Engineer license in mechanical or nuclear engineering.
- Domestic nuclear licensing support experience.
