What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including MSAs, SaaS subscriptions, SOWs, and NDAs.
• Partner with the sales team as a solution-oriented advisor to facilitate deal closure.
• Develop scalable legal infrastructure, including standard templates, negotiation playbooks, and contract management systems.
• Provide pragmatic regulatory guidance on AI products, data privacy, and intellectual property.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and optimize legal spending.

Requirements

• 4+ years of legal experience with a strong track record in commercial agreements.
• Ability to operate independently and make pragmatic decisions as the sole in-house lawyer.
• Generalist mindset with a willingness to tackle problems outside core expertise.
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Fluency with AI tools to improve legal efficiency and processes.

Nice to have

• Prior in-house experience at a B2B SaaS or AI company.
• Experience building legal infrastructure, templates, and playbooks from scratch.
• Deep understanding of how AI intersects with privacy, IP, and competition law.
• Experience with international legal and regulatory requirements.
