TL;DR

People Business Partner (HR): Managing people strategy and employee relations for the Quebec region with an accent on Industrial Relations and Collective Bargaining Agreement application. Location: 100% on-site in Mont-Joli, Canada. Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship available).

What you will do

  • Partner with site and functional leaders to design and implement people initiatives aligned with global strategy.
  • Provide expert guidance on Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR), including the interpretation of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
  • Lead workplace investigations and manage complex people matters such as grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate key employee lifecycle activities, including performance appraisals, engagement surveys, and succession planning.
  • Build leadership capability through targeted coaching and the delivery of development programs.
  • Support recruitment for wage positions and local advertising.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Fluency in both French and English is essential.
  • Proven experience in a People/HR Business Partner or senior HR role within Canada, ideally in the Quebec Region.
  • Demonstrated capability in complex ER case management and workplace investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian workplace laws and experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiation.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
