HRBP Director, Engineering and Product

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

What you will do

• Lead the people strategy for Engineering and Product, aligning talent priorities with business goals.
• Partner with globally distributed senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership capability, and people decisions.
• Advise and coach leaders on decision-making, team effectiveness, employee relations, and inclusive high-performance cultures.
• Drive scalable organizational structures, employee experience improvements, people analytics, and data-driven HR solutions.
• Develop career frameworks, capability-building and learning strategies for technical talent.
• Lead change management initiatives and collaborate with People teams on integrated talent solutions.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a senior HR business partner supporting software engineering and product leadership in a high-growth, global environment.
• Strong knowledge of global employment law, labor standards, and HR best practices.
• Expertise in organizational design, talent strategy, leadership coaching, and change management.
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically, influence senior leaders, and translate data into measurable recommendations.
• Strong business acumen, communication, stakeholder management, ownership, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• HR designation such as CHRP or CHRL, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
