TL;DR
Sr Systems Engineer (Surgical Navigation): Designing and developing innovative imaging system solutions for surgical navigation with an accent on image quality optimization and system-level hardware/software integration. Salary: $110,400 - $165,600

What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and document imaging system solutions integrating software and hardware components.
- Lead the characterization and optimization of image quality and performance across the imaging chain.
- Define user needs, business requirements, use cases, and system architecture.
- Perform engineering analysis to select system-level concepts and ensure they fulfill overall system vision.
- Plan and execute user evaluations in lab-based surgical environments to gather concept feedback.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, product hazards, and failure modes.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
- Experience in technical planning, system integration, and verification and validation.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into detailed hardware and software specifications.
Nice to have
- Experience in the medical device industry and surgical techniques.
- Expertise with X-ray imaging systems and end-to-end imaging pipeline analysis.
- Proficiency with Matlab, Linux, C++, or scripting languages.
- Ability to effectively apply AI tools to engineering tasks.
- Experience with software/algorithm design and iterative development practices.
