Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Design Engineer (Aerospace/Hydraulics): Developing high-performance hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical actuators for nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers with an accent on the full design lifecycle from concept to qualification. Salary: $75,000–$110,000 Annually

What you will do

• Design hardware for new product development for military and commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Manage the full design process from conceptualization and analysis to prototype manufacture and qualification.
• Create engineering calculations, design reports, 3D CAD models, and detailed assembly drawings.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues during project reviews.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and program management teams to ensure design viability.
• Develop test procedures and support on-site and off-site qualification testing.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and technical drawing practices (GD&T).
• Practical knowledge of hydraulic system design and mechanical part/system analysis.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Strong data-driven decision-making and communication skills.
