What you will do

  • Design and develop consumable plastic products and instruments for the Capnography department.
  • Create 3D CAD models and release 2D detailed drawings of parts and assemblies.
  • Lead technical development and collaborate with suppliers, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Establish mechanical requirements, test plans, and verification procedures.
  • Represent the mechanical team in cross-functional design reviews to optimize product quality and innovation.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with mechanical design of medical device parts and assemblies.
  • Expertise in 3D CAD modeling with solids and surfacing (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Proven experience in product development from concept to production, including DFM and prototype development.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and physical modeling fundamentals.
  • Must be based in or authorized to work in the United States (Irvine, CA).

Nice to have

  • Experience with regulated medical product development practices.
  • Basic test lab and machine shop skills.
