What you will do
- Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans to validate CPU logic against architectural and microarchitectural specifications.
- Create scalable, reusable verification environments using UVM-based testbenches and functional coverage models.
- Perform in-depth functional coverage analysis to identify and close critical verification gaps.
- Execute system-level simulations to validate functionality, power consumption, and timing characteristics.
- Debug and perform root-cause analysis of issues within pre-silicon environments.
- Collaborate with CPU architects and RTL designers to verify complex architectural features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field (PhD also considered).
- 1+ years of experience with hardware modeling languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
- Experience developing UVM-based testbenches for scalable verification.
- Programming proficiency in Python, Perl, or C++.
- Strong knowledge of computer architecture fundamentals, specifically CPU microarchitecture.
- Experience in debugging, validation, and functional coverage analysis.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of x86 architecture, Architecture ISA, and assembly programming.
- Experience in both pre-silicon and post-silicon CPU verification and debugging.
- Familiarity with microcode, firmware, or low-level code generation.
- Experience using Synopsys VCS and version control systems like Git.
- Experience applying AI or automation to accelerate verification processes.
