Construction Safety Specialist (Electrical Infrastructure)

Location: Port Washington, Wisconsin, United States; onsite work across active construction sites

What you will do

• Conduct site assessments and enforce OSHA and applicable environmental health and safety requirements.
• Apply NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI standards to electrical infrastructure operations and high-risk task planning.
• Develop and implement project safety roadmaps with project leadership.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis, documentation, and corrective actions.
• Manage occupational injury and illness cases through return-to-work coordination.
• Coach field crews and support safety orientations, toolbox talks, and CPR/First Aid training.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of active construction safety experience.
• Experience with electrical utility infrastructure, substations, transmission/distribution, or large-scale commercial electrical projects is highly preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• Active CPR/First Aid certification required; trainer designation preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; MVR check required.
• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in EHS, construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is a strong plus.

Nice to have

• BCSP credentials such as CHST, ASP, or CSP.
• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• CPR/First Aid trainer designation.
