Safety Specialist I or II (T&D; Electrical)

Location: Pasadena, Texas; onsite at company-designated office or field locations with travel to project worksites.

What you will do

• Visit project sites to observe and document safety behaviors, work conditions, PPE use, and hazards.
• Coordinate with Operations to create site-specific safety plans and participate in project kickoff, progress, and safety meetings.
• Support compliance with client requirements, OSHA standards, and local, state, and federal occupational health and environmental regulations.
• Coach and mentor field personnel and coordinate required orientations, refresher courses, customer training, and post-incident training.
• Investigate accidents and injuries, conduct root cause analyses, and support incident case management and documentation.
• Track corrective actions and support safety committees through trend analysis and process improvements.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and related industry safety regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Safety certification such as CSHO, CHST, SMS, SSH, or CSP.
• Undergraduate degree in Safety Management or a related field.
• Understanding of electrical construction project management practices.
