Safety Specialist I or II (T&D Electrical)

Location: Pasadena, Texas; onsite at company-designated office or field locations with travel throughout the assigned project area. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Visit project sites to observe and document safety behaviors, work conditions, PPE hazards, and compliance.
• Coordinate with Operations to create site-specific safety plans and participate in project meetings and safety reviews.
• Support client safety programs and maintain alignment with company policies, OSHA requirements, and environmental and occupational safety regulations.
• Coach field personnel and coordinate required training, including new-hire orientation, OSHA refresher training, customer training, and post-incident training.
• Investigate accidents and injuries, perform root cause analyses, and support incident case management and documentation.
• Track corrective actions and help safety committees improve processes, tools, and performance trends.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and other industry safety regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and independent-working skills.
• Ability to travel to job sites for extended periods and work effectively with Operations, clients, subcontractors, and external contacts.

Nice to have

• Safety certification such as CSHO, CHST, SMS, SSH, or CSP.
• Undergraduate degree in Safety Management or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical construction project management practices.
