Health & Safety Manager

Salary: $108,900–$155,600 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead the facility’s health and safety programs and support continuous improvement of the site safety management system.
• Manage safety training for employees, new hires, contractors, and safety champions.
• Lead facility audits, inspections, compliance checks, and corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
• Monitor contractor and vendor safety performance and provide guidance.
• Maintain safety documentation, metrics, reports, regulatory submissions, and Safety Committee effectiveness.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of safety management experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent certifications and experience may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and safety management systems such as VPP.
• Experience with safety management software and data analysis tools.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, outage activities, and travel occasionally up to 20%.
