Construction Project Manager (Defense)

What you will do

• Lead all phases of construction projects from initial planning and permitting through to commissioning and handover.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
• Translate program and engineering requirements into detailed facility specifications.
• Source and manage contractors, negotiate contracts, and oversee day-to-day execution.
• Coordinate with local jurisdictions to secure necessary permits and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management or site development.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency (Green Card), Refugee, or Asylee status (ITAR compliance).
• Proven ability to lead fast-paced, ground-up construction or expansion projects.
• Strong working knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and permitting.
• Willingness to travel regularly between project sites and work extended hours/weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, R&D, or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with DoD compliance requirements or environmental permitting.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
