Manager, Software Engineering - Liquidity Management (C#/.NET)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States, or New York, NY, United States. In-office collaboration is expected for 10+ days per month.

NY annual base salary: $196,000–$240,000 USD. Equity, bonuses, and commissions are additional.

What you will do

• Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a software engineering team building event-driven, cloud-native, and full-stack systems.
• Guide technical direction, system design, architecture, delivery, and engineering standards for the liquidity management platform.
• Build, coach, and mentor a high-impact engineering team while supporting career growth and talent acquisition.
• Partner with Product, Customer Success, customers, and distributed teams across Ireland, the United States, the Philippines, and Australia.
• Drive agile development, developer productivity, post-mortems, blameless retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
• Own critical systems from design through production support, including reliability and on-call participation under the YBIYRI model.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong full-stack experience with C#/.NET, modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React, and Azure-based SaaS applications.
• Experience shipping software in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with changing requirements.
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, engineering excellence, Agile methodologies, and execution.
• Ability to lead complex technical discussions, evaluate trade-offs, communicate decisions, and develop people.
• Ability to work from Chicago or New York with in-office collaboration 10+ days per month.

• Experience with treasury, liquidity management, financial workflows, or digital assets.
• Experience modernizing legacy platforms and building cloud-native systems at scale.
