Manager, IT (Microsoft Azure)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States. US work authorization is required.

Salary: $108,800–$226,800 base salary per year, with potential eligibility for an annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead and develop one or more full-stack engineering teams supporting a business-critical commercial insurance policy administration platform.
• Manage team delivery, priorities, performance, staffing, recruitment, retention, and professional development.
• Lead the design, development, delivery, and support of user interfaces, APIs, services, business logic, and data persistence on Microsoft technologies.
• Own engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, environment and release management, and production support.
• Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to translate insurance business needs into working software.
• Ensure reliable integrations with billing, claims, document generation, and enterprise reporting systems.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in software development, infrastructure, or project delivery, including full-stack application development.
• Hands-on experience with C#/.NET, ASP.NET, REST APIs, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Experience with modern front-end development using technologies such as Angular, React, or Blazor.
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring engineering teams and supporting large, long-lived business-critical applications.
• Knowledge of agile development, application architecture, secure coding, technical debt management, and production operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Insurance or financial services experience.
• Practical experience applying AI-assisted development tools and AI capabilities to software engineering.
