Software Engineering Manager

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States; hybrid work with at least 2 days onsite per week. Employment sponsorship is unavailable, including H-1B, TN, L1, and OPT visa types.

What you will do

• Lead software engineers in building modern applications, platforms, and services across the software development lifecycle.
• Own and refine technical architecture, platform definition, tool selection, refactoring, and engineering best practices.
• Plan and execute budgets, resources, tools, product evolution, and delivery strategies.
• Develop team learning plans, coach engineers, promote collaboration, and build future technical leaders.
• Define delivery and service-level metrics, review test plans and results, and improve processes and products.
• Partner with business operations stakeholders on automation, requirements, user acceptance criteria, and technical progress.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of software development experience, including architecture and implementation through code.
• Hands-on engineering management experience, with approximately 30–40% of time spent coding.
• Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and Azure cloud.
• Advanced knowledge of information systems, infrastructure, operations, business processes, and technology governance in financial institutions.
• Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice to have

• Experience leading software development projects and people.
• Experience with Logic Apps, Tibco BusinessWorks, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Jenkins, Chef, or Octopus Deploy.
• Experience with Angular, JavaScript, Node, ASP.NET MVC, Java, Go, PowerShell, Bash, Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL, or CosmosDB.
• Experience with test automation, including Selenium, Postman, JMeter, TestNG, SpecFlow, or Xamarin.UITest.
