What you will do
- Define and execute category strategy for Germany by mapping the German e-commerce landscape and prioritizing launch categories.
- Build a zero-to-one playbook for identifying and validating new category opportunities (market sizing, supply mapping, community identification, go-to-market).
- Lead end-to-end launches of new verticals in Germany, from hypothesis and validation through seller acquisition, community activation, and growth ramp.
- Directly manage and develop a generalist launch team responsible for seller onboarding, growth, influencer activation, and community events.
- Drive growth by running experiments with cross-functional partners and acting as the primary internal voice of the German market.
- Represent at German industry events and build deep relationships with top sellers and buyers.
Requirements
- Must live within commuting distance of the Berlin, Germany or London, UK hubs.
- 10+ years of experience in fast-paced, client-facing roles (e.g., strategy consulting, venture capital, private equity, or partnerships at a fast-paced tech company).
- Fluency in German and English.
- Proven track record building and leading high-performing teams (vision, talent development, performance management, scaling team structures).
- Experience launching new products/categories/markets from scratch (moving from ambiguity to traction).
- Strong analytical skills using data to define success metrics and make prioritization decisions.

- Experience with two-sided platforms and marketplace dynamics.
- Passion for creator communities and live e-commerce.
- Experience scaling a category/market across multiple European countries.
- Existing network within German collector, fashion, or enthusiast communities.
