TL;DR

Sales Engineer (Procurement): Leading the technical sales process and building the founding US Sales Engineering function for an AI-native procurement platform with an accent on technical discovery and POC management. Focus on designing tailored demos, solving complex client challenges in the finance/procurement stack, and bridging the gap between customers and product teams.

Location: Hybrid in New York; must spend 8+ weeks in London, UK for onboarding

Salary: $240,000 – $300,000 + Equity & Commission

What you will do

  • Act as the primary technical expert in the enterprise sales process to address client challenges.
  • Lead custom discovery sessions and build tailored demos to showcase the platform's value.
  • Own and drive Proof of Concepts (POCs) in collaboration with Customer and Product teams.
  • Bridge communication between Sales, Product, and Customers throughout the journey.
  • Provide field feedback to the Product team to shape the future roadmap.
  • Refine pre-sales processes, technical documentation, and sales collateral.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience in sales engineering or technical consulting within B2B SaaS.
  • Deep understanding of the modern finance or procurement stack (billing/AP space).
  • Experience implementing or administering ERPs, CLMs, GRC, or AP automation platforms.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in leading product demos and responding to RFPs/RFIs and IT security queries.
