What you will do
- Build and manage a high-quality revenue pipeline from opportunity identification through negotiation and close.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across R&D, platform technology, and business leadership.
- Own a portfolio of strategic accounts end-to-end, focusing on executive relationships and account expansion.
- Partner with product and science teams to scope high-value customer engagements and map needs against internal capabilities.
- Develop and refine the GTM playbook, including qualification criteria, proposal templates, and CRM processes.
- Analyze the AI/ML partnership landscape in physical sciences to inform positioning and competitive strategy.
Requirements
- BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent experience in chemistry, materials, physics, chemical engineering, or adjacent fields.
- 2-5+ years in a client-facing role (BD, enterprise sales, management consulting, or applied science).
- Must be located in or able to work from Cambridge, MA, USA.
- Ability to translate high technical depth into clear narratives for both R&D buyers and procurement teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple live accounts with limited oversight.
- Hands-on use of AI tools in daily workflows and a curiosity about autonomous science.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI/ML applied to physical sciences, such as generative models or Bayesian optimization.
- Exposure to enterprise R&D buying cycles in chemicals, energy, materials, or semiconductors.
- Experience as a founder or early GTM hire helping define commercial processes and collateral.
