TL;DR

Project Leader (New Product Introduction): Leading new product introduction projects and managing the transfer of product designs from R&D into mass manufacturing with an accent on industrialization, cost optimization, and production readiness. Focus on cross-functional collaboration, change management, and ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Kitchener, ON, Canada (Hybrid role).

Salary: $73,600 – $96,000 annually.

What you will do

  • Lead project planning and execution for new product introductions and manufacturing changes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Manage the design transfer of components and products into mass manufacturing.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective industrialization of products and processes.
  • Drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and change management processes.
  • Monitor project progress and provide reporting across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electronics, mechanical, mechatronics, or related).
  • Experience in product development, electronics manufacturing, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrialization.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Must have reliable internet connectivity (min 200Mb/sec download, 10Mb/sec upload) for hybrid work.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree.
  • Certifications in Project Management or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience with medical devices or regulated industries.
  • Experience with embedded software and testing processes.
  • Knowledge of SAP and engineering tools (PDM, Windchill).
